One person was killed as a result of an explosion that occurred during the loading of waste containers in the city of Vladikavkaz, Russia. TASS reports on this.

 

According to the head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyaylo, the incident occurred on the morning of April 17 in the area where Internatsionalnaya Street and Partizanskiy Lane intersect. A communal services worker who was carrying out cleaning work in the area died at the scene during the explosion.

 

It was reported that the deceased was a citizen of Uzbekistan and had five children.

 

Emergency services and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene. An investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office, and investigative bodies are also conducting an inquiry into the incident.

 

According to preliminary information, the explosion was caused by explosive items inside the waste container. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 109 of the Russian Criminal Code (causing death by negligence) regarding the incident.
