International Biology Olympiad: Nearly 100 talented young individuals are competing.

The International Biology Olympiad named after Abu Ali ibn Sino is taking place in Namangan.

A total of 94 students and young people are participating, including representatives from 12 countries of the world — Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
It is noted that the goal is to widely promote the great contribution of our ancestors to the development of world civilization on an international scale and to support talented students.

The International Biology Olympiad named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, held among teenagers aged 15-18, is organized in 2 rounds.

The first round is conducted in the form of a laboratory (theoretical) session, and the second round in the form of a written assignment (theoretical). Based on the final results, representatives of the teams declared winners and prize-winners will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals, diplomas, and commemorative gifts.

Within the framework of the Olympiad, a series of master classes were held for students and young people with the participation of international experts. Additionally, trips to historical and cultural monuments of Namangan were organized for the Olympiad participants and guests.

This Olympiad serves as the next preparatory stage for the International Biology Olympiad in biology, which will be held in Lithuania in July of this year.
According to information, this Olympiad, being held for the second time this year, first took place in Bukhara on June 9-14, 2024.
In that event, Uzbek students won 12 medals (3 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze).
