The regional Department of Internal Affairs has officially reported on messages circulating on social networks about a citizen being beaten to death in the city of Denov, Surkhandarya region.

 

According to the information, on April 27 at around 17:50, near a car wash located in the "Bog'ishamol" neighborhood, a group of individuals attacked A.U., born in 1970, and his son A.A., born in 1994.

 

According to preliminary data, the incident occurred due to a pre-existing conflict over a financial transaction. The victims were beaten and injured by their nephew, Q.Sh., born in 1989, and his three accomplices. After that, they put one of the victims into a "Gentra" car and drove away from the scene.

 

Victim A.A. was admitted to a district medical facility that same day. He sustained severe, life-threatening bodily injuries and, despite the medical procedures performed by doctors, died on April 28.

 

In connection with the incident, the Denov District Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under paragraphs "k, e" of Part 2 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and four suspects were taken into custody in a procedural manner.

 

Later, the criminal case was reclassified under paragraph "d" of Part 3 of Article 104 of the same code.

 

Investigative actions are ongoing.
