A limited number of commemorative passports featuring the image of Donald Trump will be issued in the United States. This was reported by the BBC, citing the White House.

 

It is reported that the newly designed passports will be presented in July to mark the 250th anniversary of US independence.

 

According to officials, once the issuance of these passports begins, they will be available to all US citizens who apply for a passport and will be distributed until supplies run out. They are designated to be issued only through a special passport agency in Washington.

 

In the sample provided by the US Department of State, the president's portrait is set against the backdrop of the Declaration of Independence text and the American flag, and also includes a golden signature.

 

Currently, US passports feature scenes from the country's history, including the moon landing and national symbols such as the Statue of Liberty.

 

At the same time, it is not yet known whether citizens will have the option to decline this special design.

 

This initiative is being assessed as a continuation of the Trump administration's policy aimed at associating the president's name and image with government programs and public facilities.

 

Earlier, it was reported that President Donald Trump's signature would appear on US paper currency starting in June 2026.
