A meeting with an honorary journalist was held in Samarkand.
Muayyana Khodjayeva has worked at a number of media outlets and has also been active at the University of Cuba.

On the eve of May 9 — Remembrance and Appreciation Day, in the city of Samarkand, the acting Chairman of the Uzbekistan Journalists' Union, Shuhrat Oripov, and the head of the Union's regional branch, Akram Haydarov, visited the home of Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan Muayyana Xo'jayeva.

During the visit, a sincere conversation was held with the veteran journalist, exchanging thoughts on her long-term creative activity and life journey.

For reference, Muayyana Xo'jayeva began her career in 1963 at the regional radio station. Later, she worked for the newspaper "Ovozi tojik" and the Uzbekistan Television and Radio Company.
She is also distinguished by her fluency in Spanish, English, and Arabic. From 1970 to 1972, she also worked at the University of Cuba.
It was emphasized that her rich experience and creative legacy serve as an important school of example for today's young journalists.
During the conversation, the memory of deceased journalists who made a great contribution to the development of Uzbek journalism was honored.
It was also noted that it is necessary to effectively use the experience of honorary journalists in educating the new generation of the field.
