The only international-level IT center in Fergana: The opportunity to obtain diplomas from the USA and Uzbekistan.

The Uzbekistan Journalists' Union, the Content Preparation Center, and the Fergana Regional Administration jointly organized a Press Tour for journalists under the slogan "The Breath of New Uzbekistan in Fergana." As part of the Press Tour, participants were introduced to the activities of the only international-level IT center in Fergana.

Large-scale reforms are being implemented in the Fergana region to develop the information technology sector. New educational projects, international partnerships, and innovative infrastructures are being gradually introduced on the path to turning the region into an IT hub.

At the newly established programmer training center, education will be conducted entirely on a grant basis. The admission process consists of two stages; the initial stage — the Foundation level — is carried out through an interview. At this stage, the main criterion for evaluation is not the young people's basic knowledge, but their motivation and readiness to learn.

Only students who have distinguished themselves, can work in a team, and possess sufficient soft skills are selected for the second stage. In-depth programming education begins precisely at this stage. According to the plan, up to 320 highly qualified programmers will be trained annually.

In the third stage, they are provided with various knowledge and skills for up to six months to help them secure their own jobs. Specifically, they are given knowledge and skills on how to pass job interviews, as well as how to found startup companies and sell their services on various freelance platforms.

Although this center is not an official branch of Apple Inc., it operates based on its standards. A company license has been obtained to implement the educational programs, and teachers also undergo special training. This ensures that graduates are competitive on an international level.

Furthermore, the Apple Developer Center being established in Fergana will cover up to 350 young people per year, creating opportunities to bring products developed by them to global markets.

The Fergana branch of IT Park Uzbekistan has set ambitious goals. Specifically, it is planned to increase the number of residents to 1,000 and the number of employees to 3,000 by 2026.

At the same time, export indicators have also increased significantly in recent years:

  • 2024: $6 million
  • 2025: $12.7 million
  • 2026 plan: $25 million

Additionally, the opening of branches in the USA, Japan, and neighboring countries is being planned, which will expand opportunities for Fergana's youth to enter the international market.

Furthermore, two important higher education projects are being launched in Fergana:

  • Inha University Fergana branch
  • IT Park University

Education at these universities will be conducted in English and organized based on a dual (hybrid) model. Students will participate in practical projects during their studies and will have the opportunity to work with real companies starting from the second year.

Specifically, in cooperation with EPAM Systems, students will work on real projects for three years, and almost all graduates will be provided with jobs.

Most gratifyingly, the educational programs have been developed in cooperation with Arizona State University, and students will receive two diplomas — a diploma from Uzbekistan and a diploma from the USA.
