President of Uzbekistan received Austrian delegation
Within the framework of this visit, a joint business forum was held, and important agreements were signed in the areas of labor migration, diplomatic service, and taxation.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation consisting of the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, and the Federal Minister of the Interior, Gerhard Karner, on May 7. This was reported by the President's press service here.
It was noted that at the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guests conveyed greetings and best wishes from the Federal President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, to the head of state.
Issues of further developing practical cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
It was noted with satisfaction that dialogue at various levels is consistently developing. In recent years, trade turnover has increased threefold. Cooperation projects in construction materials, mountain tourism, healthcare, chemical industry, agriculture, banking and finance, and other sectors are being actively implemented.
The intergovernmental commission is operating effectively. Within the framework of this visit, a joint business forum was held, and important agreements were signed in the areas of labor migration, diplomatic service, and taxation.
Exchanges in culture and education are also expanding.
The importance of establishing systematic dialogue at the highest level, increasing trade turnover, and promoting joint projects in priority areas was emphasized.
Discussing cooperation in the security sphere, the need for regular information exchange in combating terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking, and cybercrime was noted.
Views were also exchanged on pressing issues of regional and international significance.
