In Uzbekistan, subsidies will be allocated to certain agricultural enterprises to cover diesel fuel costs. This was established by a Presidential decree, as reported by the Telegram channel "Huquqiy axborot" (source).
According to the document, from April 1 to July 1, 2026, subsidies will be provided for the portion of the cost of each ton of diesel fuel purchased by agricultural enterprises through the exchange that exceeds 13 million soums. In this case, the subsidy amount will not exceed 2 million soums.
These funds are expected to be allocated from the state budget through the Agency for Payments in the Agricultural Sector (the Agency).
In accordance with the decree, starting from September 1, 2026, certain powers of the State Support Fund for Agriculture to allocate subsidies will be transferred to the Agency.
In particular, subsidies will be allocated to agricultural entities to cover part of the value of electronic invoices formalized when selling raw cotton grown using their own funds and commercial bank loans on the exchange.
Additionally, the mechanism for compensating part of the cost of raw cotton purchased using their own funds by cotton-textile clusters and textile enterprises with a yarn production chain will also be transferred to the Agency's authority.
