In Fergana, a group of women staged a protest by blocking a road.
They were traders who were dissatisfied with their market stalls being taken away.

Reports circulated on social media that the places of market traders in the Kushtepa district of the Fergana region were seized. This situation was investigated by the regional Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).
It was reported that in the market area of the Kumtepa mahalla, some traders were selling goods in the parking lot, blocking the movement of passenger transport vehicles and pedestrian walkways.
For this reason, the district administration and the market management offered them to trade inside the market and warned them several times.
However, it is stated that the traders continued trading contrary to the established order.
After trading in the parking lot area was banned on May 14, several women disturbed public order and attempted to block traffic. Employees of the internal affairs bodies who arrived at the scene resolved the situation and conducted preventive explanatory work with the participants.
It is noted that 5 citizens who incited public disorder and disobeyed the lawful demands of law enforcement officers were held accountable under Articles 195 and 201 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court imposed fines on them.
