Some educators may receive discounts on airplane and train tickets.
Such discounts apply to travels across Uzbekistan.

In Uzbekistan, some educators may be offered discounts on airplane and train tickets for traveling across the country. A draft decision on this matter has been published for public discussion.
According to the draft, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, it is proposed to permanently introduce a procedure for providing a one-time annual discount on air and railway tickets for certain categories of educators traveling within Uzbekistan.
The benefit is planned to apply to the following educators:
- educators of general education and preschool educational organizations ranked in the top 100 of the national rating;
- educators of technical schools ranked in the top 20;
- educators of higher education institutions ranked in the top 10.
The draft decision provides for a 15 percent discount on the tariff for economy class tickets and tickets for reserved seat or compartment cars available for open sale on airplanes and trains (excluding high-speed trains). It is specified that the travel must be carried out directly, without transfers to other routes, in the form of a round trip.
Additionally, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation will regularly provide information about educational institutions included in the rankings to Uzbekistan Railways and Uzbekistan Airways.
Heads of educational institutions will issue a certificate indicating the place of work and position to educators who have expressed a desire to travel across Uzbekistan.
As noted in the draft, this initiative serves to increase the respect and esteem of kindergarten teachers, school teachers, and professors and instructors of higher education institutions in society, to provide material and moral encouragement for their hard work, and to organize their leisure time meaningfully.
Furthermore, it is emphasized that this benefit will strengthen healthy competition among educational institutions and motivate educators to work more actively on their self-improvement.
