On the eve of Eid al-Adha, funds of $200 each will be allocated to over 8,000 children.
690 billion soums will be allocated for needy families, sick children, and mosques.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals for socio-economic support of needy citizens in connection with the Eid al-Adha holiday. The President's press service reported this.
It was reported that the presentation reviewed proposals developed by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the National Social Protection Agency, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, and the Waqf Charitable Public Foundation.
According to this, large-scale social events will be carried out on the eve of Eid al-Adha. In particular, it is planned to perform surgical operations on 10,000 children suffering from severe and disabling diseases, conduct examinations and treatment for 2,300 oncology and hematology patients, and cover the costs of liver and kidney transplants for at least 350 patients.
It is also envisaged to transfer funds in the amount of 200 US dollars to savings accounts for over 8,000 orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as children of those who died in defense of the Motherland.
In addition, it is planned to build or renovate ablution rooms in 500 mosques, improve cemeteries, and provide food products to families in need of social protection.
It has been determined that these events will be financed from funds amounting to 690 billion soums. The President gave instructions to those responsible for organizing all work transparently and in a targeted manner.
