In Uzbekistan, winners of the reading competition will be awarded prizes of up to $50,000.
Participants compete in three age categories and are selected according to the established procedure.

In Uzbekistan, the national reading movement is held annually, and large cash prizes are awarded to the winners. This was established in the President's decree "On the widespread implementation of the reading program among young people and supporting their interests."
According to the document, starting from 2026, a national reading movement aimed at increasing interest in reading among students of general education schools will be launched.
The program will be organized annually in three stages. The first stage will be conducted online via the electronic platform "kitobxonlikharakati.uz", while the second and third stages will be organized in a traditional format at the regional and national levels.
Participants will compete in three age categories and will be selected according to the established procedure.
In accordance with the decree, winners and prize-winners among the upper grade categories — grades 6–8 and grades 9–11 — will be awarded cash prizes:
- Each of the 2 winners who take 1st place will receive a cash prize of 50,000 US dollars and a diploma;
- Each of the 2 prize-winners who take 2nd place will receive a cash prize of 30,000 US dollars and a diploma;
- Each of the 2 prize-winners who take 3rd place will receive a cash prize of 15,000 US dollars and a diploma;
- Each of the prize-winners in 5 additional categories will receive a cash prize of 10,000 US dollars and a diploma.
