A new border post has been opened on the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan border.
Border guards in this area protect over 12 km of the border between the two countries.

A new border post called "Sogment" has been put into operation in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, located on the border with Uzbekistan. This was reported by 24.kg.
Officials emphasized that the opening of the new border post is an important step in strengthening state security and ensuring stability in the border areas.
It was reported that all necessary conditions for military personnel have been created at the "Sogment" border post. A barracks meeting modern requirements has been built and equipped with the necessary infrastructure for conducting service.
It is noted that border guards in this area will protect more than 12 kilometers of the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan state border.
It was also announced that several other border posts were put into operation in other regions of Kyrgyzstan on the same day.
