The Sergeli automobile market will not be demolished — the mayor's office
Large-scale modernization and beautification works are being carried out in the market.

The Sergeli automobile market continues its operations as usual, and reports about its closure or demolition are not true. The district administration reported this.
It was reported that large-scale modernization and landscaping works are being carried out in the automobile market area, aimed at further improving comfortable conditions for sellers, buyers, and visitors.
The main goal of the ongoing works is to update the market infrastructure, create a safe, modern, and orderly trading environment, as well as improve the quality of services provided to the population.
As part of the modernization works, the entrance areas of the market's administrative buildings are being renovated, and granite slabs are being laid. At the same time, new asphalt pavement has been laid on 26,500 square meters of the area, and an additional 16,200 square meters are planned to be asphalted.
Additionally, work is underway to renovate the roofs of shops where spare parts are sold. Chaotically placed advertising structures in the area are being dismantled, and the external appearance of retail outlets is being organized. Containers selling used spare parts are also being given a modern and orderly appearance.
Furthermore, automated payment systems operating without human intervention are being installed for the entry of motor vehicles into the market area.
The administration emphasized that these works are not related to stopping the market's operations; on the contrary, it noted that these initiatives serve to develop the area, improve conditions for entrepreneurs, and create a more convenient trading environment for the capital's residents.
