In Uzbekistan, the gold reserve will be increased by another 879 tons within five years.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on the introduction of digital and artificial intelligence technologies in the mining industry and geology sector.

It was announced during the presentation that work has begun to increase the country's gold reserves by an additional 879 tons over the next five years. Additionally, plans are in place to increase silver reserves by 510 tons and copper reserves by 676 thousand tons.

It was noted that the use of artificial intelligence technologies in geological exploration enables rapid analysis of geological data, identification of new deposits, and accurate assessment of mineral reserves.

The head of state emphasized the importance of accelerating technological transformation in the sector and developing a system for managing and analyzing production processes based on artificial intelligence.

According to officials' calculations, the widespread implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence solutions will reduce product costs by 10 percent, halve the time required to discover new deposits, and quadruple the number of proposals offered to investors.
