Baxtiyor Islomov will be released from the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court.
A proposal has been submitted to the Senate by the President regarding the dismissal of Bakhtiyor Islamov from the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's proposal to dismiss Bakhtiyor Islamov from the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court has been submitted to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Bakhtiyor Islamov was elected Chairman of the Supreme Court at the plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis in August 2022.
Prior to this position, he served as a judge in the Fergana and Tashkent regions, and also worked as Chairman of the Tashkent City Court for Criminal Cases until November 2020.
Later, he was appointed First Deputy Advisor to the President on issues of protecting citizens' rights and handling appeals. A year later, he assumed the position of Advisor to the President on coordinating the activities of law enforcement and supervisory bodies.
Bakhtiyor Islamov began his tenure as Chairman of the Supreme Court following Kozimjon Komilov. Kozimjon Komilov had requested to be relieved of his position due to health-related reasons.
