An Uzbek woman drowned in a river in Kyrgyzstan.

A citizen of Uzbekistan died after a car fell into the Chichkan River in the Toktogul district of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by Sputnik Kyrgyzstan, citing the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations, as reported.

 

It is reported that the incident occurred on June 22. There were four people in the car — three men and a 45-year-old woman.

 

As a result of the incident, the men managed to get out of the car on their own. However, the woman was swept away by the river current.

 

As a result of search and rescue operations, four days later, rescuers found her body and handed it over to law enforcement officers.

 

It has been reported that the deceased was a citizen of Uzbekistan. An investigation into the incident is being conducted in accordance with the established procedure.
