The winners and prize recipients of the "Golden Pen" National Award – 2026 competition have been awarded.
Sherzod Asadov read out President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's congratulatory message to the press and mass media workers.

June 27 – A festive ceremony was held at the "Uzbekistan" Palace of Conferences in Tashkent on the occasion of Press and Mass Media Workers' Day. At the event, Sherzod Asadov read out the congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressed to the representatives of the field.

According to the President's Press Secretary, Sherzod Asadov, the head of state's congratulatory message placed special emphasis on the ongoing reforms to ensure freedom of speech in the country, support mass media, expand the transparency of state bodies' activities, and shape a modern media space.

It was also emphasized that free, responsible, and people-oriented journalism is one of the key factors for the development of society and the state.

It was noted that efforts to expand opportunities for media workers, protect their rights and interests, enhance their professional skills, and provide social support will continue consistently in the future.

During the event, orders and medals were presented to representatives of the field who were awarded high state honors in accordance with the President's decree. Additionally, the winners and prize-winners of the prestigious national "Golden Pen" award in journalism – 2026 competition were announced, and journalists, bloggers, and mass media representatives were ceremoniously honored.

The main award was received by the team of the "Tahlilnoma" program on the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel. They were presented with a "BYD Chazor" car, a gift from the President.
