At the next session of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, three resolutions were adopted regarding the recognition of a citizen as having limited legal capacity or being legally incapacitated, the application of measures to secure a claim, and amendments and additions to certain plenum resolutions.

 

The next session of the Plenum of the Supreme Court was held. The following resolutions were adopted at the meeting:

 

  • "On the practice of courts reviewing cases related to recognizing a citizen as having limited legal capacity or being legally incapacitated";
  • "On certain issues of applying measures to secure a claim (preliminary protection) by civil, administrative, and economic courts";
  • "On amendments and additions to certain resolutions of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Plenum of the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

 

The meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Robiya Mahmudova, was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and deputies of the Legislative Chamber, judges of the Supreme Court and lower courts, the Prosecutor General, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Committee on Family and Women, the Association of Judges and the Bar Association, as well as the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis, the Commissioner for Children's Rights, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, law enforcement bodies, legal scholars, and media representatives.

 

It was reported that the texts of the Plenum resolutions will be published in the National Database of Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Bulletin of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan", and the newspaper "Kuch – adolatda" (Strength is in Justice).
