In Surkhandarya region, during an operational event conducted by internal affairs bodies and State Security Service employees, a case of illegal religious education of minors was uncovered. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in a statement.

 

According to the information, in the city of Termez, two citizens born in 1971 and 1996 were providing religious education to five minors in their residence for material gain, without the necessary permits and in violation of current legal requirements.

 

During the operational event, 14 religious literature items were documented and seized from the residence in accordance with procedural procedures.

 

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Article 229² of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.

 

It was also stated that appropriate measures are being taken against the parents of the minors who received illegal religious education, in accordance with current legislation.
