It is noted that special attention is being paid to reforming the automotive and mechanical engineering industries in Uzbekistan based on modern requirements, as well as increasing the competitiveness and efficiency of the sector.

Within the framework of the project, worth a total of 50 million US dollars, the "Nurafshon Special Equipment" enterprise, established on an area of 25.8 hectares, currently produces special types of vehicles, military equipment, and various mechanisms under the "KRANTAS" brand, providing permanent jobs for over 300 highly qualified specialists.

The equipment and technologies used in production have been brought from the USA, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Russia, China, and Turkey.

During the past period, nearly 2,500 tons of metal structures, over 300 vehicle superstructures, more than 200 chassis, and over 20 tractors have been produced. In particular, last year, equipment and mechanisms worth 275 billion soums were delivered to customers.

The enterprise also pays special attention to expanding the production volume of import-substituting products. For this purpose, it is planned to build a new plant on a 10-hectare plot of land in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city. This will make it possible to localize products worth 15-18 million US dollars per year.

In a dialogue with sector officials and engineers, special attention was paid to issues of expanding localization, developing industrial cooperation, and producing high value-added products.
