The event-rich program of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic and the informal Consultative Meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan has concluded. At the "Issyk-Kul" airport, the leader of Uzbekistan and his wife were seen off by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and his wife.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held negotiations with his Kyrgyz counterpart in Cholpon-Ata, both in a narrow format and with the participation of official delegations. During the meetings, issues of further deepening comprehensive strategic partnership relations, increasing trade volume, developing industrial cooperation, strengthening interconnectivity in the transport sector, and expanding cooperation in water-energy and cultural-humanitarian areas were considered.

An important outcome of the summit was the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations, which brings bilateral cooperation to the highest level. An agreement was reached on establishing an Interstate Council. Additionally, a substantial package of documents was exchanged concerning the state border, social protection and pension provision, higher education, the movement of citizens, culture, tourism, and the agro-industrial complex.

Specific measures were outlined to bring the volume of mutual trade to 3 billion dollars, implement new projects on industrial cooperation, develop infrastructure along the "China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan" railway, and accelerate the project for the construction of the Kambarata-1 HPP.

Within the framework of the visit, a ceremony was held to present Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the highest state award of the Kyrgyz Republic – the Order of "Manas", 1st degree.

The President also participated in the informal meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. He presented his viewpoint on the priority directions of regional cooperation, encompassing the strengthening of the institutional foundations of cooperation, the development of trade and transport interconnectivity, the expansion of digital services, the development of education, science and innovation, joint efforts to combat problems related to climate change, and the expansion of humanitarian exchanges.

Within the framework of the visit, the heads of state participated in the opening ceremonies of the first international-class golf club in Kyrgyzstan, the new five-star "Baku" hotel, and the water-motor sport championship on Issyk-Kul.
