A fire broke out at the Taxtaqoracha pass in Kashkadarya.
As a result of the incident, dry grass on an area of 1.3 hectares burned down, while trees and shrubs were not damaged.

A fire that broke out at the Taxtaqoracha Pass in the Kitob district of the Kashkadarya region was extinguished within a short period of time.
According to reports, the fire occurred at around 13:50 on August 2 in the territory of the Kitob State Forestry Enterprise. Employees of the Kitob State Forestry Enterprise, the district Department of Ecology and Climate Change, as well as the Emergency Situations departments of the Kitob, Shahrisabz, and Yakkabog’ districts were involved in extinguishing the fire. Thanks to prompt measures, the fire was fully extinguished by 14:30.
According to preliminary data, dry grass on an area of 1.3 hectares was damaged as a result of the fire. The existing trees and shrubs in the forest area were not harmed.
Currently, a duty group consisting of forestry and ecology employees is operating at the scene. It was reported that the causes of the fire are being investigated.
Officials called on citizens to strictly adhere to fire safety rules in mountainous areas and forest fund lands along highways during the hot summer days and to treat nature with care.
