A road traffic accident involving Uzbek citizens occurred in the Republic of Mordovia, Russia. As a result of the incident, two citizens of Uzbekistan were killed, and three others were injured.

 

According to a report from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan (link), the accident occurred on August 6 near the village of Blokhino in the Lyambir district, at the 180th kilometer of the M-5 "Ural" highway.

 

A "MAZ" brand truck collided with a "Chevrolet Spark" car bearing Uzbek state license plates.

 

As a result of the incident, A.A.P., born in 1996, and B.Sh.A., born in 1997, were killed. Additionally, three Uzbek citizens born in 2002, 1989, and 2006 were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

 

The Consulate General has taken the situation under control. It was reported that the repatriation of the deceased individuals' bodies to Uzbekistan, following forensic examination and other necessary procedures, will be carried out by the Migration Agency.

 

The injured citizens received the necessary medical care and have been discharged from the hospital.
