In Kashkadarya, the beam of a newly constructed bridge collapsed.
During the assembly process, because one side of the crane was lifted first, excessive load was placed on the beam, causing it to break. No one was injured as a result of the incident.

A video showing a bridge beam under construction in Dehqonobod district of Kashkadarya region tilting to one side has spread on social media. The State Committee for Roads provided a comment to "Daryo" regarding the situation.
It was reported that the incident occurred on August 6 during construction and installation works within the framework of the project to reconstruct the 1255–1315 kilometer section of the M-39 Alma-Ata—Bishkek—Tashkent—Shahrisabz—Termez highway, with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund.
At the time of the incident, the beams of a newly constructed two-level interchange structure were being installed. According to the committee, because one side of the crane had been lifted earlier, an excessive load was placed on the beam, causing it to break.
The official statement noted that prestressed concrete beams may encounter load conditions not envisaged in the design during the installation process. This situation was also confirmed by the builder-consultant organization within the framework of the project.
No one was injured as a result of the incident, and no damage was caused to the environment. The broken beam fragments were removed from the site by the construction organization.
Currently, specialists from the project's engineering consultant — Temelsu International Engineering Services Inc. — are conducting investigations to determine the causes of the incident.
