The open dialogue of the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Uzbekhydroenergo" with entrepreneurs took place.
Issues of broadly attracting the private sector to the construction of small and micro hydroelectric power plants were discussed.
On August 11, an open dialogue with entrepreneurs was held at the "UzHydroPower" plant in the Bostanliq district of Tashkent region, with the participation of Islam Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Uzbekhydroenergo".
The event discussed issues of developing the hydropower sector, expanding the construction of small and micro hydroelectric power plants (HPPs), and increasing private sector participation based on public-private partnerships. About 20 entrepreneurs, representatives of JSC "Gidroproyekt" and other organizations, as well as officials from "Turonbank", attended the event.
During the dialogue, entrepreneurs were provided with information on selecting locations for building small and micro HPPs, design, developing technical solutions, selecting and supplying hydro units, turbines, and generators, organizing construction and installation works, and the processes of commissioning the facilities.
One of the main issues of interest to entrepreneurs was project financing. Representatives of "Turonbank" provided explanations on the conditions for using preferential loans and the necessary procedures.
Additionally, the production capabilities of the "UzHydroPower" plant were presented at the event. The enterprise, established in cooperation with the Chinese company "Zhejiang Jinlun Electromechanic Co., L.", produces hydro units, turbines, and generators ranging from 1 kW to 40 MW, as well as water pump units and metal structures for reservoirs.
At the end of the dialogue, the proposals and appeals of the entrepreneurs were reviewed, practical solutions to the raised issues were identified, and relevant tasks were assigned to the responsible persons.
