A court chairman died in a traffic accident in Navoi.

Aziza Mirzayeva, chairwoman of the Tomdi District Court for Criminal Cases, died in a traffic accident. Kun.uz reported this.
The incident occurred around noon on August 15 on the "Zarafshon–Tomdi" road. According to reports, Aziza Mirzayeva was traveling from Zarafshon city to Tomdi district in a Cobalt car.
According to preliminary information, she lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the Cobalt veered off the road and overturned. The court chairwoman died at the scene from severe bodily injuries.
According to preliminary assumptions, the incident was caused by the vehicle moving at high speed. At the same time, the condition of the road where the accident occurred is also said to be unsatisfactory.
39-year-old Aziza Asatovna Mirzayeva was appointed chairwoman of the Tomdi District Court for Criminal Cases in Navoiy region in December 2024. She had been confirmed for the first five-year term of her judicial office. Aziza Mirzayeva was the mother of two children.
The Supreme Council of Judges and the Supreme Court expressed their condolences to her family members and loved ones on the occasion of her death.
