Passenger ship capsizes in Indonesia: more than 100 people missing

A passenger ship with 243 people on board capsized in the Java Sea in Indonesia. As a result of the incident, 6 people died, 107 were rescued, and another 130 are missing missing.
According to the Basarnas search and rescue agency, the ship "Virgo Transport 8" had 213 passengers and 30 crew members. The ship departed from Surabaya to Banjarmasin on Saturday and lost contact with its operator in the early hours of Sunday.
Rescue operations are ongoing. Rescue vessels and helicopters have been deployed to the area. However, waves reaching heights of 2.5 meters are complicating the operation.
Officials have stated that adverse weather may have caused the incident. Currently, the causes of the ship's sinking, including the possibility of technical malfunction, are also being investigated.
