In the tragic incident that occurred in the city of Nizhnekamsk in August, the last of the affected citizens of Uzbekistan was brought to the homeland through medical repatriation. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

 

S.A.S., born in 2001, was initially treated in the intensive care unit of the Central Hospital in the city of Nizhnekamsk. Later, with the assistance of the local government bodies of Tatarstan, he was transferred by helicopter to a specialized hospital in the city of Kazan.

 

The citizen continued treatment at the hospital in Kazan and underwent two complex surgical operations.

 

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Kazan and the Migration Agency carried out the necessary rehabilitation and organizational work for his return to the homeland. The citizen was provided with consular-legal and practical assistance.

 

In cooperation with the Consulate General, the representative office of «Uzbekistan Airways» airline, and the Migration Agency, the citizen was brought to Uzbekistan via a flight on the «Kazan–Tashkent» route. He will continue treatment in his homeland.

 

On August 10, as a result of an attack on a number of facilities in the city of Nizhnekamsk by unmanned aerial vehicles, 8 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed. On August 12, the bodies of the deceased citizens of Uzbekistan were brought to the homeland.
