The award ceremony for the winners of the "Atirgul" competition held among women journalists, organized on the initiative of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan and in cooperation with the Family and Women's Committee, took place.
The competition was organized to support the professional skills, creative pursuits, and activity in public life of women working in the field of journalism.
Winners were awarded in 12 nominations of the competition. The participants' creative works were evaluated by the jury based on their content, relevance, professional skill, and innovative approach.
During the event, membership certificates were also presented to 25 newly admitted women journalists to the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan.
According to the organizers, the "Atirgul" competition serves to provide an opportunity for women journalists to demonstrate their creative potential, popularize best practices, and foster professional cooperation and exchange of experience.
Today, journalism requires not only promptness but also in-depth analysis, the use of modern technologies, and new creative approaches. From this perspective, the competition is aimed at encouraging the work of women journalists in these areas.
