President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the "Nukus Insulation Group" enterprise in Nukus city. The enterprise is producing modern thermal insulation materials from local basalt raw materials.
This project, aimed at the effective use of the rich natural resources of Karakalpakstan, serves to develop the construction materials industry in the region.
The project was implemented on the basis of the resolution of the head of our state dated February 9, 2024, "On additional measures for the comprehensive socio-economic development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and ensuring employment of the population."
Modern equipment manufactured in Europe has been installed at the enterprise, with a total value of 50 million dollars. They enable the production of products that meet international standards from local raw materials.
The enterprise has the capacity to produce 50 thousand tons of thermal insulation materials worth 300 billion soums per year. 150 new jobs have been created here.
Basalt-based insulation materials are distinguished by their fire resistance, heat retention properties, and long service life. Their use in construction serves to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and structures and reduce heating and cooling costs.
The head of our state got acquainted with the production process and products and had a sincere conversation with the enterprise team.
Right there, the governors of the regions assigned to the districts of Karakalpakstan provided information on the work carried out during the past period.
Our President emphasized the need to further expand the scope of support and improvement work for these districts with the assistance of the regions.
It was noted that it is important to strengthen ties and production cooperation between the regions, jointly utilize existing opportunities, and increase projects aimed at raising employment and incomes of the population.
