As a result of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, S.A., who was on the international wanted list, was identified in the territory of Turkey, detained, and brought to Uzbekistan. The Consulate General in Istanbul reported this.

 

S.A. is suspected of embezzling allocated credit funds through misappropriation and embezzlement. According to the investigation, his actions caused damage to the state budget in the amount of 5 billion soums.

 

This person was placed on the international wanted list under Part 3 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

S.A. was handed over to the competent authorities of Uzbekistan to continue the relevant investigative and procedural actions.

 

Cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the parties is continuing in the direction of identifying persons on the international wanted list and holding them accountable.
