Problems in medical waste disposal: A senatorial inquiry has been sent to the Minister of Health

A senator's inquiry has been sent to the Minister of Health regarding the work being carried out in Uzbekistan on the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of medical waste.
The inquiry sent by A. Tuychiyev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agrarian, Water Management Issues and Ecology, was based on studies conducted in the regions by senators and deputies of local Councils.
During the studies, it was identified that there are cases of burning medical waste in the open or together with household waste, as well as handing them over to sanitation companies as household waste.
In the senator's inquiry, information was requested on the work carried out on the unified electronic accounting of the daily volume of medical waste and their full direction to processing enterprises in the prescribed manner.
Additionally, information was requested on the measures being taken to ensure compliance with the requirements established for the collection, transportation, storage, disposal, utilization, and processing of medical waste.
