President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a new overpass connecting two parts of Boburshoh street in Andijan city.
The structure directly connects two parts of the city, serving to ease traffic flow and eliminate unnecessary detours. The project, with a total value of 271 billion soums, was implemented based on the instruction given by the head of state during his previous visit to Andijan region.
The total length of the overpass is 796 meters, with a width of 25.9 meters. Of this, 596 meters consists of an elevated section, and 200 meters is a road section with retaining walls.
The new structure, first and foremost, created great convenience for the population. Now, 140,000 residents living in Andijan city and Oltinko'l district will no longer travel an extra 5.3 kilometers.
Additionally, the travel distance for special services has been reduced from 15 kilometers to 9.3 kilometers. As a result of eliminating the extra distance and waiting at the railway crossing, travel time to the destination is reduced by up to 17 minutes.
This is especially important in providing emergency medical care. Now, it is possible to deliver patients to the emergency medical care center 14 minutes earlier than before.
