Cotton harvest season: compliance with labor legislation is monitored
During the season, monitoring work is carried out to prevent forced and child labor.
Monitoring is being carried out in Uzbekistan during the cotton harvesting season to ensure compliance with labor legislation and prevent forced and child labor. This was reported by the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment reported.
It was announced that a headquarters and working groups consisting of representatives of relevant organizations have been established for this purpose. They monitor compliance with labor legislation requirements during the cotton harvesting process.
It was noted that employers and farming enterprises must not force employees into labor, must not use child labor, and must formalize labor relations in the manner prescribed by legislation.
Additionally, compliance with requirements related to working hours, rest, and remuneration is also monitored.
