Floods in Thailand affected the automotive industry: Toyota and Honda closed their factories
The flood caused disruptions in the spare parts supply chain.

Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda have temporarily suspended production at their factories in Thailand due to widespread flooding in the country.
Honda halted operations at its plants in Prachinburi and Ayutthaya from October 2–6. Toyota suspended operations at three assembly shops in Samut Prakan and Chachoengsao, as well as at a facility belonging to Toyota Auto Works.
This was caused by flooding in Chonburi and Rayong provinces, which prevented parts suppliers from delivering the necessary components. The companies stated that the production pause is temporary and that operations will resume once alternative ways of delivering parts are found.
According to the Federation of Thai Industries, the damage from supply chain disruptions is estimated at approximately 1.018 billion baht (about 30 million dollars).
The floods have affected more than 2.6 million people, and 40 people have died.
