President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark
The meeting discussed issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries.

On October 2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who arrived in the country on an official visit.
Practical aspects of expanding Uzbekistan – Denmark relations in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres were considered.
It was noted with satisfaction that bilateral cooperation has significantly intensified. Last year, Uzbekistan's first ambassador, resident in Stockholm, was appointed to Denmark. This year, Denmark appointed a special representative for Central Asia.
In recent years, the volume of mutual trade turnover has increased nearly fivefold. Joint projects are being implemented in Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Danish companies in mining, chemical and food industries, agriculture, water supply, and other sectors.
The importance of further increasing mutual trade volume and attracting Danish investments, advanced technologies, and know-how to energy, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics, agro-industrial complex, and other promising areas was emphasized.
It was noted that there is significant potential for developing ties in education, culture, and tourism. An exchange of views was also held on current issues of international and regional importance.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further strengthening the institutional and contractual-legal framework for systematically expanding cooperation.
