A young man who cut off dogs' ears in Surkhandarya has been detained.

Earlier, a video spread showing a citizen in Surkhandarya region forcibly cutting off the ears of stray dogs. The regional Ecology Department also issued an official statement regarding the incident.

 

According to the report, during the investigation, it was found that citizen O.Y., a resident of the Mehnatobod neighborhood in Sherabad district, posted a video on his social media page showing cruel treatment towards three puppies, where he manually tore off their ears.

 

Regarding the incident, an administrative protocol was formalized based on Part 2 of Article 111 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the documents were sent to court.

 

According to the court ruling, citizen O.Y. was sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.
