An illegal attempt to sell a land plot in Tashkent for 9 million US dollars has been exposed. The press service of the State Security Service informed Zamon.uz about this.

It is reported that a woman, who had been previously convicted several times, conspired with her acquaintance to sell a 2-hectare non-residential land plot belonging to a business entity in Yunusabad district, which is currently under a ban, to a buyer for 9 million US dollars.

While they prepared all the documents through their official acquaintances and received an advance payment of 200 thousand US dollars for transferring the land to residential category, they were caught red-handed by officers of the Tashkent City Department of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Part 4, paragraph "a" of Article 168 and Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
