Euronews head Pedro Vargas David familiarized himself with the activities of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for implementing joint media projects aimed at expanding information cooperation, actively promoting Uzbekistan's environmental agenda on the international stage, as well as broadly covering initiatives in the field of environmental protection and combating climate change.

 

Special attention was also paid to issues of attracting the attention of the international community to Uzbekistan's initiatives within the framework of the global climate agenda, raising ecological culture, and popularizing "green" development ideas.

 

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Ecology Committee, Aziz Abduhakimov, solemnly presented Pedro Vargas David with the "Nature Protector" badge for his contribution to highlighting environmental initiatives and developing international cooperation.

 

As part of the visit, an introductory tour of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change system was also organized for the foreign delegation. The guests closely familiarized themselves with the activities of the Situation Center, where environmental monitoring and analysis and coordination of emergency situations are carried out, as well as with the main directions of the system's organizations.
