Uzbekistan's MFA expressed its position on the shooting between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

"We call for an immediate cessation of hostilities by the parties."

The Republic of Uzbekistan expresses deep concern over the escalating situation in the border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on this matter.

 

The Ministry calls on the parties to immediately cease fire, exercise restraint, and refrain from actions that could lead to a further intensification of tensions.

 

"The Uzbek side once again emphasizes that all arising disagreements must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, via political and diplomatic dialogue, based on the principles of state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual respect," states the official announcement.
