Air quality has worsened again in Tashkent.
This is due to the influx of a cold air mass.

Yesterday, starting from February 28, a cold air flow began to enter the republic. Wind is almost not observed in the territory of Tashkent city and Tashkent region. In particular, the sharp temperature difference between night (+3…+5°C) and day (+11…+15°C) caused the formation of morning fog and temperature inversion. Currently, the city remains under the influence of a relatively cool air mass, and precipitation is not expected.
Under the influence of these meteorological factors, the exchange of air in the lower layers of the atmosphere has slowed down, which is limiting the dispersion of polluting substances. In this regard, an increase in the concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) in the atmospheric air is currently being observed in Tashkent city and Tashkent region.
According to synoptic forecasts, the expected precipitation starting from tomorrow will lead to an improvement in air quality indicators.
