In Pakistan, protesters attacked the US consulate.

Today, on March 1, nearly 500 people stormed the U.S. consulate building in Karachi, southern Pakistan, as part of a protest. According to the Associated Press agency, this occurred following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a result of military strikes carried out by the U.S. and Israel.

The protest was mainly attended by Muslims belonging to the Shia sect, with the majority of the demonstrators consisting of youth and citizens.

Local police and military used batons and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. According to police official Muhammad Javed, at least one person was killed and several protesters were injured to varying degrees as a result of the clashes.

Security services at the scene attempted to control the actions of the demonstrators, but ensuring public order proved difficult.

It is noted that the aim of the protesters in Pakistan was to condemn U.S. actions in the region and demand justice for the Iranian leader.
