13 Uzbek citizens returned to their homeland from Iran via Turkmenistan.
Citizens were monitored entering the country through the "Sarakhs" Turkmen-Iran border post by embassy staff in Ashgabat.

According to the "Dunyo" news agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is assisting citizens returning to Uzbekistan from Iran via Turkmenistan.
The report states that Uzbekistan's embassy in Ashgabat, in cooperation with the diplomatic mission in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and other competent authorities, is taking the necessary measures to meet citizens at the border, resolve visa and transport issues, and ensure their safe return to the Homeland.
As a result, 13 citizens of Uzbekistan were returned to the country via the "Sarakhs" Turkmen-Iran border crossing point by embassy staff in Ashgabat.
Furthermore, since March 2, 2026, the operation of the "Gaudan-Bajgiran", "Artik-Lutfabad", "Akyayla-Incheburun", and "Altyn Asyr-Incheburun" control-checkpoints on the Turkmenistan-Iran state border has been resumed.
Embassy staff are meeting citizens of Uzbekistan at the "Gaudan-Bajgiran" checkpoint, and vehicles have been mobilized.
