Azerbaijan strongly condemned this attack and summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A drone launched from Iran crashed into Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of Iran's drones crashed into the terminal building of an airport in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the other crashed near a school building in the village of Shakarabad. The incident resulted in injuries to 2 people.

 

"We strongly condemn these drone attacks carried out from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which led to damage to the airport building and injuries to two citizens," the ministry's statement said.

 

The ministry demanded an explanation from Iran regarding this incident and stated that Azerbaijan "reserves the right to take appropriate response measures."
