The US is investigating the strike on the girls' school in Iran.

The White House is conducting an investigation regarding the attack on a girls' school in Iran. CNN reported this, citing U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagerty.

Israel and the United States carried out an airstrike on a girls' school in Minab on February 28. The attack resulted in the deaths of over 160 people. Among the victims were girls aged 7–12. A mass funeral for the deceased was held in Iran on March 3.

"The only thing I can say right now is that we are investigating this incident. We never target civilians, but an investigation into the event is underway," said Hagerty.

Furthermore, the UN Human Rights Office called for an independent investigation into the attack on the girls' school in Iran on March 3. However, the organization did not specify who was responsible for the attack.

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on March 2 that U.S. forces did not intentionally target the school. At the same time, Israel has previously denied some strikes on civilians during the war in the Gaza Strip, later describing them as "accidental incidents."

It is reported that over 900 people have been killed during the conflict that began following the U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran and the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran is responding by striking U.S. military bases and facilities in the region.
