Russia is providing intelligence information about US forces to Iran, while China wants to provide financial assistance.

Russia is providing Iran with intelligence on the location, movements, and details of U.S. forces, ships, and aircraft. CNN reported this, citing sources familiar with U.S. intelligence.

It is noted that Russia's actions are being assessed as the first sign of Moscow attempting to intervene in the war.

One source stated that a significant portion of the intelligence Russia is sharing with Iran consists of imagery from Moscow's advanced satellite systems. What Russia expects to receive from Iran in return for such assistance remains unknown.

CNN has requested comment on the situation from the Kremlin and the Russian embassy in Washington.

Furthermore, it has not yet been proven that any specific Iranian attack was based on intelligence provided by Russia. However, in recent days, several Iranian drones have attacked areas where U.S. forces are located. For instance, on Sunday, an Iranian drone struck a building in Kuwait where U.S. troops were temporarily stationed, killing six American soldiers.

According to sources, U.S. intelligence indicates that China is preparing to provide Iran with financial aid, spare parts, and missile components.

At the same time, Beijing has so far not directly participated in the war. It is said that China is urging Tehran to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

One source, alluding to the importance of Iranian oil for China, said: "China is more cautious in its support. They want the war to end because the conflict threatens their energy supply."

U.S. intelligence declined to comment. CNN has also requested comment from the Chinese embassy regarding preparations to support Iran.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagget, on Wednesday, told journalists that Russia and China are not playing a significant role in the U.S.-Israel and Iran war.

For reference, over the past three years, Russia and Iran have been cooperating in the field of missile and drone technology. Iran has supplied Russia with Shahed drones and short-range ballistic missiles, aiding their use against Ukraine, and has also helped establish a large factory in Russia to produce Iranian-designed drones. Iran, in turn, has sought Russia's assistance in developing its nuclear program.

CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated that the current U.S. operation against Iran involves over 50,000 troops, more than 200 combat aircraft, and two aircraft carriers.

There is no precise information on how long the military operations against Iran will continue.
