A school teacher in Surkhandarya was caught selling a large quantity of narcotics.
Additionally, two individuals who received 6 bags of narcotics thrown over the fence by Tajik drug couriers in Sirdaryo were apprehended.

A total of over 77 kilograms of narcotics illegally brought from Tajikistan were seized. This was reported to Zamon.uz by the DXX.
It is reported that during an operation conducted by the relevant state authorities, a large quantity of narcotics being smuggled into the country from Tajikistan was intercepted.
Specifically, two local citizens were apprehended while receiving six bags thrown over the border fence by Tajik drug couriers in the area of the Sharqobod neighborhood, Khovos district, along the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan state border. The bags contained 8 kg 314 grams of heroin and 54 kg 458 grams of opium.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Part 2 of Article 246 and Part 5 of Articles 25 and 273 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure of detention has been applied against them.
Furthermore, another case related to narcotics trafficking was uncovered in Surkhandarya region. During an urgent operation in Sariosiyo district, a citizen working as a teacher at one of the local schools was caught red-handed while selling 14 kg 680 grams of opium for 180,000 US dollars.
According to investigation data, these narcotics were also supplied by Tajik drug couriers.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure of detention has also been applied against him. Currently, urgent investigative actions to identify his possible criminal accomplices are ongoing.
