It is reported that the term "jaanbaz" is used for "individuals wounded by enemy strikes." This indicates the new supreme leader was wounded in the ongoing war.

 

According to Iranian state television, the injury occurred during the "Ramadan War." This is the name used in Iranian media to refer to the current U.S.-Israel and Iran war.

 

The television did not provide additional information on the extent of the injury.
