According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the leaders' conversation emphasized negotiations to resolve the conflict around Iran and the situation in Ukraine.

 

The call took place on the initiative of the U.S. President. The two presidents exchanged detailed views on the situation in Iran.

 

During the phone call, Putin outlined a number of considerations aimed at resolving the conflict in Iran more quickly through political and diplomatic means. At the same time, he noted a positive assessment of the U.S. and personally Trump's mediation efforts in resolving the Ukraine conflict.

 

According to the U.S. President, during the conversation, Putin expressed readiness to assist in stabilizing the situation in the Middle East. The discussion on the topic of Ukraine was also conducted in a positive manner.
